So I have a couple things on my list for Christmas. First off, I'll be getting a K2 Zeppelin snowbard shown in the picture. Second on the list is a radar detector. Nothing too special, but something that will warn me with my fast driving. Along side of accessories for the expensive snowboard, I'll be receiving cash. I usually end up walking away from Christmas with an extra $500 in cash. Last year I had received $1500, because my father had payed me for creating his website at allanfeidplumbing.com. This year I'm expecting less, but hopefully enough to get the home theater I talked about in the previous post.
So Thanksgiving is coming up in the United States and as most American's know, the following day (Friday) is "Black Friday." I plan on heading on to Best Buy planning to get the door buster deals. Which means heading out to Best Buy between 12 and 3 AM Friday morning. The doors open at 5 AM. I'm probably not going to buy anything, but it never hurts to look at some of the deals. Following the weekend, "Cyber Monday" will be here before we know it. Cyber Monday, like Black Friday, offer online deals on sites like Amazon or Newegg instead of going to the store. Anyway, I never got the Core i7, as I'm considering buying a home theater system. The system would consist of a 1080p projector with a 100" screen. The total setup will run around $1,500, which in my opinion is totally worth it. So instead of updating my computer's whopping speeds, I'm considering the home theater system. Another thing the system might include, is a 5.1 surround sound system. I already have a woofer in my room, which is completely pointless as I can't use it to it's potential anyway. So I'm looking for at receivers for $300 and speakers running around $200 putting the total system at around 2k.
I've been working at Nonna's for over a month and a half now, and I've gotta say, I do make money. Only working 2.5 days a week, I usually walk away with $400 of cash at the end of the week. Take out $25 for gas, and $300 a month for car insurance, I'm left with about $1200 a month off of 10 days a month. So I am expecting to have a core i7 within the next couple of weeks. I bought a new video card the other week as well, which I really needed. My windows 7 "experience" rating is now a 5.9 due to my hard drive disk speed. After the core i7, I will be upgrading that as well. My current processor is running at 3.06ghz, whereas it runs at 2.4ghz stock. Doing this raised the experience by .5 points. From 6.8 to 7.3, my ram came in third with 7.2, and for my new video card, 7.4 in both gaming and areo experiences. Overall, I am quite happy with the specs of my computer.
